For macOS · lives in your menu bar

A break timer that knows
whether you actually moved.

Once an hour, Uncoil drops down from your menu bar with a 60-second movement. Your camera counts the reps, entirely on your Mac, and then it gets out of the way.

Timers are easy to ignore. A camera that counts your reps is not.

It knows if you actually moved

On-device pose detection counts your reps as you do them. Holds and walk-aways are timed too, but the clock only runs while you're really holding, or really away.

[Gentle] “Let's unfold for a minute.”

[Direct] “Stay on it.”

[Savage] “Rise and shine, desk gremlin.”

Pick how Uncoil talks to you, from encouraging to merciless, spoken aloud if you like. Skipping is always taken gracefully, whatever the tone.

Six movements

Reach, circle, roll, twist, stretch, and Walk away: a timer that only runs while you're gone. Come back early and it resets.

It speaks

A recorded coach talks you through every session: “Move back a little”, “And reach back up”. Optional, and fully offline.

Call-aware

Detects Zoom, Teams, Webex and FaceTime and quietly waits. Sessions never barge into your meetings.

Streaks that heat up

Show up daily and the flame runs orange to red to purple to blue, because the hottest flames burn blue.

Sixty seconds, once an hour. That's the whole commitment.

Privacy

Nothing ever leaves your Mac. Nothing can.

  • Camera frames are analysed on-device with Apple's Vision framework and immediately discarded. Never recorded, stored or uploaded.
  • The app ships without the network permission. It is technically incapable of phoning home, and you can verify that yourself.
  • No account. No analytics. No tracking. Your streak lives in a file on your Mac.
  • Read the full privacy policy. It's refreshingly short.

filing complaints all day.
